śrī-śrīman mahāprabhu pravarttita premabhakti patha pathikeṣu

To all those who tread the path of Prema Bhakti promulgated by Śrīman Mahāprabhu -

As in previous years, this year on Monday February 17, 2013, the auspicious advent day of the most merciful Prabhu Sītānāth is celebrated on Makara Saptami day, so in front of Śrī-Śrī Rādhā Madan Gopāla, the beloved deity of Śrī-Śrī Sādhu Bābā, in Śrī Navadvīp Dhām's Rāmacandrapur district a great 5-day devotional festival will be held for His satisfaction, starting on Wednesday 13th February. Festival items will include Pārāyan, discussions on devotional scripture and Kīrtan.

Please bless us by attending this festival. This is not an invitation, it is an anxious cry by Prabhu Sītānātha's servants to have their sensually polluted consciousness lifted into absorption into bhakti rasa. Petitioner -

  1. Jai Sri Advaita Acharya

When I had my initiation in 2008 into the parivar, it happened during this festival. And this same festival was when I first met our guru brothers and guru sisters. During this festival also was when I first visited Navadwip.

I am not much into big festivals as I prefer small gatherings where I can get to know the people more and also have a quiet time chanting in front of the temple, but this Sitanath festival is always looked forward to by many people in the village. One of the most awaiting events is the bathing with milk of the murti of Advaita Acharya -- the kirtan gets really loud at this point of the festival. When I was there they invited the village band which played some musical instrument like trumpet of sort.

Everyone gets the blessings of Sitanath and at the same time gets to share the yummy dishes served.

    Jai Sri Advaita Acharya

    Jai Sadhu Baba

    Jai Sri Krishna
