Today I will be leaving for Spiringen, Switzerland, to spend 15 days in an Ashram there on the invitation of Kṛṣṇacandra Dās. An internet connection is said to be there, so I should be able to moderate madangopal.blogspot from there too (and keep you informed of events in the Alps!)
Geef ze van Jetje!
ReplyDeleteDial-up connection is here, amongst the awesome high mountains. Did a little kirtan, will give my first class since 1991 tomorrow morning.
ReplyDeleteI have been lecturing on Visvanatha Cakravarti's tikas on Krishna's birth-lila during Janmastami festivities and I have finished 3 1-hour lectures on Radhakundastakam. Tomorrow I will continue CC Adi 4 lectures.
ReplyDeleteIs that the picture of the ashram?
ReplyDeleteRadhe Radhe
Hope you're enjoying yourself!
ReplyDeleteMyrla: Yes it is.
ReplyDeleteGaurasundar: Sure enough!
Radhe!!
ReplyDeleteIt was a very nice week!!!
We had wonderful sadhu-sanga, nice bhajans and very interesting classes by Mr. Advaita das.
Moni and I enjoyed it very much.
Also it was very cool to meet you, Advaita das, in person.
Radhe!!!!
This place is amazing - in one week I have seen at least 35 people moving through here, despite its completely remote location, from Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Holland (myself). At each given day or night there are 15-16 people staying in this wooden cottage.
ReplyDeleteBhagavati, Krishnacandra's sister, embodies all the synonyms of saralata - simplicity, humility, honesty, sincerity, submission, etc. Her cooking caused the first real good buzz in my mind.
ReplyDeleteKrishnacandra is a real Vaisnava as a Vaishnava should be. We often have profound difference of opinion on major issues and yet he continues to cherish deep friendship for me. This place is even visited by pilgrims from Hungary and Denmark!
ReplyDeleteFriendship across the sectarian divide.
ReplyDeleteKrsnacandra did one step toward Advaitadās. Advaitadās did one step towards Krsnacandra.
They met in Syāmapriyā kunja for 15 days, rapt in the ecstasy of rasika kathā
Sometimes we frankly disagreed, yet the friendship was unbreakable.
That is because Krsnacandra is a Vaisnava as a Vaishnava should be
and Syāmapriyā kunja is an āshrama as a Vaishnava āshrama should be.
I hope to be back here for more Rādhā-kathā.
Advaitadās, guest book Syāmapriyā kunja, august 28, 2006
Dear advaita,
From my heart I want to thank you for your Sanga.
I hope that this friendship can further develop.
despite very little differences I strongly feel
that we are going through together towards radha-dasyam.
Please consider this āshram your house.
Embracing you
